As a child, I attended this excellent school - at first with reluctance - at the direction of my Step-Father , who still resides in Harlem. I remember LaRocque Bey - he instructed us in African Dance. I also believe I took several ballet classes as well. This was in the late sixties.

I've always loved the Larocque Bey School of Dance, it has always been a special part of Harlem. I remember watching their dance rehersals and performances in the 1970's and longing to be a Larocque Bey dancer. Larocque would be very proud of Jerome for continuing the dance company's legacy. La Roc Bey!
