About Me

Hi My Name is Lisa and I was a La Rocque Bey School of Dance student in the 70's.  I was a student for 2-3 years. My sister, Cousin and some girl friends use to attend dance classes every Saturday.  We would take the subway from the Bronx.   I still remember alot of the moves and still do alot of the dance excercises.  Later, I attened Hunter College and took some of the dance classesCharles Moore taught.  It was truly a honor being taught by the Best La Rocque Bey.  I will never forget the fun I had being a student.

I even  used some of the dance movements in my choreography for the Praise Dance Ministry productions at church. My students and I  received  many compliments.  I so glad to se La Rocque Bey legacy live on.

I am now living in Severn, MD and searching a school that teaches African Dance. School.    I
